Managing the Messages Settings

To open the settings dialogue you can use one of two methods.
1. Double-Click the program icon in the task-bar.
2. Right-Click the program icon in the task-bar and select “Set-Up” from the pop-up menu.

Before we begin, the OK button means close the window but keep the program running and Quit, means Quit.

Don't worry, I mistakenly shut the program down from time to time too.

Message Settings

The Customizable Messages tab is included for you to be able to change the wording of the messages that pop-up while the boss is looking over your shoulder having a look at the financial report that you're supposed to be working on. The one that you are actually working on thanks to the timer. I've explained both of the messages previously in the How Does it Work - Visual Notifications section. This tab has two sub-tabs that are pretty much identical so, I'll explain the settings for On Run only.

Show Message On Run
Allows you to choose to see either of the messages or not.

Message Title
A single line customizable message title for both the On Run [timer start] as well as the On Complete [timer count-down completed] messages.

Message Body
A multi-line customizable message to be used as the body of the message. There are two special “fields” that you need to take care with #TimeInc# and #TimeRem#. You can use these to insert the Time Increment and Time Remaining information into your message. They only work in the On Run message body.

I haven't tested the limits of the message windows but you go ahead and have fun. You might run into a problem where the message you've created does cause a problem for the program ... there is a way to fix it, as always ... see INI File information in About.
